A Very Special Partnership!

For 30 years, Christians in Whitstable have been in a partnership with our German friends from Kleines Wiesental, in the Southern Black Forest area of Germany.
These photos were taken from a visit to Whitstable in 2008

After the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1990, we were able to add a third party to the partnership, the church of St Andrew's in the town of Teltow, which is in the suburbs of Berlin, and was formerly in Eastern Germany.

Over the years, an extraordinarily successful relationship has continued whereby we meet for three years running, with a year off every fourth year, in our different home contexts. One year, we all meet in Teltow. The next at Kleines Wiesental. The next at Whitstable.

This year, 2016, was the turn of Whitstable to host the partnership. All Saints Whitstable and a number of Christians from other churches in the town including St Alphege Seasalter and Whitstable Baptist church, hosted and looked after 35 of our German friends from Kleines Wiesental and Teltow, for a wonderful four days of events from 4th to 8th May.

The video below tells some of what happened over these four days.

There was time for serious discussion, for fellowship, for acts of worship, including a special Ascension Day service which took place on Thursday 5th May at St Alphege Whitstable as well as plenty of time for simply having fun together, socialising together, laughing together and sharing Christ's love with each other.

The Partnership has truly been blessed by God and 2016 was no exception.

In time we  hope we can develop this website to show more aspects of the Partnership, but for the time being allow this video to speak of some of the joy that happened.
